Welcome to the Center for the New Humanity

 

The Center for the New Humanity is a spiritual community where you are encouraged to find and live from your authentic self. We honor the many paths to God; for while there are many names and paths, we believe they ultimately all lead to the same Infinite Spirit.

Our spiritual community draws its core beliefs from the Science of Mind written by Dr. Ernest Holmes. Our teaching embodies spiritual principles common to the world's great religions, plus science, philosophy and psychology. At the Center, you will find community, connection, spiritual education, support, and a loving, vibrant, and diverse group of people.


The Center for the New Humanity, Inc. is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. This website highlights the part of our enterprise that teaches The Science of Mind. We are a chartered affiiliated of the International Centers for Spiritual Living, and member of The International New Thought Alliance and the Center for Progressive Christianity. As ordained Religious Science ministers, Rev. Mike Gerdes and Rev. Margo Ruark offer pastoral counseling and services for you and your loved ones. 
 
The Peace Center, the only inspirational giftstore in Berwyn, IL, is another part of our enterprise. The Center for the New Humanity's classes and outreach are often held at The Peace Center's facilities. There are many refences and links on this website to The Peace Center - do not be alarmed, we're the same people. All donations to the Center for the New Humanity are tax deductible. Our mission is to serve humanity and make the world a better place.
