The Johnnie Colemon Theological Seminary is announcing a
Call for
Papers for the 2011 Colloquium,
"
Miracles Happen: New Thought Meets A Course in Miracles
(ACIM)." The
Colloquium will be held at the Universal Truth Center, Miami
Gardens, Florida, May 5-7, 2011.
All interested ministers, teachers, authors, and independent
scholars may submit a paper for presentation no later than
April 15, 2011. Opportunities for students enrolled in classes
will be provided in accordance with the quality and number of
submissions.
Submissions are encouraged for paper presentations
including
but not limited to the following
themes:

comparing and contrasting key tenets of ACIM with New Thought;
·
sociological perspectives and impact of ACIM on New Thought and
other spiritual communities;
·
ACIM, New Thought and modern mysticism;
·
What ACIM has contributed to contemporary spiritual
psychology.
We discourage personal interpretations and insights of the ACIM
text or sermons based on the ACIM text. We are interested in
discovering new methodologies to bring our personal
understanding and revelation into alignment with academic
standards and practice.
Please submit a 250-word abstract and a one-page resume for
each paper to Rev. Margo Ruark at

Margo Ruark. Authors will be notified of acceptance by April

Submission of an abstract indicates that the individual listed
as the presenting author will complete the registration
including fee ($45), attend the meeting, and present the paper
if the abstract is accepted. The number of finalists invited to
present their papers will not exceed 15.
Rev. Dr. Mary Tumpkin, President, Johnnie Colemon Theological

he did.
Subsequently, he taught others how and sent them out to repeat
the message of empowerment to all humankind. Therefore, miracles are not
supernatural they are supremely natural. The age of miracles is active
in the world today.”
